Power down and unplug a device before inspecting ports or vents. Stop if you see liquid damage, smell burning, hear arcing, or notice a swollen battery.
Write down the exact symptoms
Record what you see, when it happens, and any error message word for word. Note recent changes such as an update, new hardware, a power event, a drop, or liquid exposure. Photos of intermittent error screens can help.
Know the model and bring relevant accessories
Find the model number and tell us whether the computer is a desktop or laptop. Bring the charger if power or battery behavior is involved. For peripheral problems, we may ask for the affected device or cable.
Back up accessible files
If the computer still works and you can do so safely, copy important files to a separate storage device or trusted backup service before repair. A backup is useful before any hardware or software work; failing drives can worsen without warning.
Protect accounts and explain access needs
Do not send passwords through the website form. We will discuss any access needed for testing. You can use a temporary local account when appropriate and remove it after service.
Describe what a good outcome looks like
Tell us whether the priority is restoring a particular program, improving performance, preserving files, or deciding whether the device is worth repairing. That context helps shape practical options.
